Awesome Fall Fishing – Sanibel Fishing Charters!

Fishing has been incredible with our Sanibel Island fishing charters. We have been catching redfish, snook and tarpon. This is a great time of the year to fish, and the weather has been great. We are starting to get closer to the busy season, and my schedule is booking up for the upcoming months.

Redfish are schooled up on the shallow grassflats near Sanibel, Captiva and Pine Island. The average size reds we are catching right now are between 5 and 8 pounds, although some are much larger. We can target redfish with live bait, lures or flies. Redfish pull hard and are always a favorite of my customers.

Snook are starting to show up in good numbers in the backcountry. We can catch good numbers of snook most days, although they tend to be smaller than the average redfish. We have seen and caught some very nice snook recently.

Tarpon fishing has been hit or miss for us this fall. We have a good number of fish around, although I haven’t been targeting them much. Some days they have been eating very well, other days it is hard to hook a fish. The bite should improve and we will have a few weeks of awesome tarpon fishing before they leave. A week ago, I had one day where we hooked 14 tarpon and landed 7 throwing mostly lures. Hopefully we will have more days like that in the upcoming weeks!

We have opportunities for everyone right now whether you want to target a trophy, fly fish, or take out the family. Call today and book your trip!
